Every good initiative has people and costs involved in performing the work. This is often an overlooked and underfunded area for organizations that serve those in need. At SMARD, we don’t automatically deduct 12% or 15% from every donation to cover our administrative costs and overhead. We treat our overhead as a separate expense that we raise funds for.
